About Waynedale Elementary School
Waynedale Elementary School is named for the neighborhood in which it is located. It has long had a special focus on biophysical education with biophysical activities integrated with academics.
The school was built in 1971 on the same site as the original Wayne Township school, known as School #8. The first principal was John J. Johnson. Students from Waynedale feed into Kekionga Middle School and Wayne High School. The school is located in the Board of School Trustees District 5.
